Community Engagement and Support
Connect, Learn, and Grow: Welcome to the CCPA Prairie Chapter Conversation Café!
Are you looking for a dedicated, welcoming space to step out of clinical isolation and connect with fellow counsellors? The Conversation Café offers a monthly virtual circle for CCCs, qualifying members, and student interns across the Prairie provinces to share wisdom and navigate complex practice topics together.
Here is why you should join our next circle:
The Format
Structured, yet conversational. Each session begins with a brief 30-minute feature on a specific clinical modality, population, or practice topic, followed by an open, non-judgmental group reflection.
The Investment
Minimal preparation, maximum connection. There is no need to prepare polished case studies—simply show up with your curiosity, lived experience, and a willingness to listen and share.
The Outcome
An investment in your practice and well-being. Protect against compassion fatigue, refine your clinical conceptualization, and build a resilient, supportive professional network across our region.

Clinical Mentorship for Student Interns
As an experienced Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA 11250722), a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC 22216) and the Prairie Representative for Moving Forward Family Services, I am proud to offer dedicated clinical mentorship and supportive guidance to student interns across our region. This initiative provides emerging clinicians with a warm, encouraging environment to complement their formal supervision—focusing on:
Build Professional Identity
Navigate the transition from student intern to certified practitioner, including CCPA requirements and career planning.
Prevent Early Burnout
Develop proactive self-care, healthy boundary practices, and reflective habits early in their clinical careers.
Through tailored check-ins and direct connection to regional peer circles like the CCPA Conversation Café, I help interns bridge the gap between academic theory and community practice, fostering the confidence, ethical grounding, and resilience needed for a sustainable career in mental health.

In collaboration with veterans, veteran family members, and service providers, the program offers practical and emotional support to veterans and their families, tailored to their lived realities. Rooted in empathy, cultural understanding, and community connection, this program helps veterans reclaim wellness, purpose, and belonging.
One-on-One Support
Free, individualized support—from anxiety around paperwork to goal-setting—to help veterans manage day-to-day life with dignity and consistency.
Wellness Workshops
Workshops exploring trauma, relationships, financial health, and self-healing, co-created with veteran families to ensure relevance and safety.
This province-wide program offers 1:1 mental health counselling and everyday support to veterans and their families, addressing issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Services are low-barrier, trauma-informed, and designed to meet each veteran where they are—with particular attention to equity-seeking groups including women, Indigenous, LGBTQ2+, and racialized veterans.
